HeartBeat Program
A diagnosis of cancer can be overwhelming, and if you are of reproductive age, future fertility may be a concern. For patients pursuing fertility preservation services prior to cancer treatment, Ferring Pharmaceuticals and Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy have developed the Heart Beat program to help ease some of the financial burden.
LIVESTRONG
In 2009, LIVESTRONG acquired Fertile Hope, a cancer and fertility advocacy organization the Foundation had collaborated with since 2001. Now called LIVESTRONG Fertility, the program is dedicated to helping men and women diagnosed during their reproductive years better understand cancer-related risks to their fertility and access discounted fertility preservation services and free medication. Additionally, LIVESTRONG Fertility provides access to medical professionals with educational resources to improve patient-provider communication, and tools to implement systematic change that can lead to better care.
